Currently available artwork - mostly Watercolours and oils.
Each piece is framed in handcrafted Tasmanian timber.
The frame profiles are very simple - generally a square edge without extra fancy curves as I want to show off the timber to its best and not detract from the artwork. The finish on each frame is generally oil. One or two are coasted with polyurethane.
The advantage of the oil finish is that it highlights the timber grain and a lightly oiled cloth will rejuvenate the frame should it start looking tired.
I love our Tasmanian Forests and the timbers they produce.
I support local craftspeople to create beautiful timber frames for each piece.
Having said that; I know timber frames aren’t everyone’s preference and I can be convinced to “deframe” images if required….
